Steel Fabricators (Wales) Ltd. is a long running and well-respected steel frame building company. They have been established since 2007 and have fabricated and erected many quality steel buildings throughout Ceredigion and beyond. Their workshop is near Lampeter and has up to date CAD drawing, cutting, welding and erection equipment.
Not everything involved in designing, fabricating and erecting steel frame buildings requires highly trained expertise. There are always a number of general labourer tasks required in construction.
This job vacancy is for a General Labourer to assist with the erection and installation of steel frame buildings.
Full on the job training will be given in all aspects of the work. There are opportunities for well motivated staff to progress quickly within the company and train for other more challenging roles.
The salary is generous and commensurate with experience and ability. Our workshop is located adjacent to the main road between Lampeter and Tregaron and on a bus route. Erections are mainly local, within the Ceredigion and surrounding area.

This post is for a welder to fabricate steel frameworks. You will be expected to follow plan drawings containing a list of parts that require accurate measuring, cutting and welding.
Working with Steel Fab involves fabricating large scale metalwork. This may sound like heavy work, but it is not. Everything is lifted and moved with forklifts. If the applicant does not already have a forklift certificate they will be required to achieve that in their first year. Staff are required to follow strict health and safety procedures and expected to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
We would prefer to have applicants who are well trained and experienced welders, however, we are prepared to accept trainee staff who will receive full training on site. Steel Fab can also offer an Apprenticeship scheme for candidates at the start of their career.

This job vacancy if for an additional member of staff to join our team erecting and cladding mainly agricultural steel frame buildings. Even though direct experience in this industry would be beneficial, we are also offering this job to untrained applicants who are keen to develop new skills and knowledge. Full on the job training can be supplied.
